Our 10th Annual General Meeting took place on October 1, 2011 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Oshawa.The day of celebration began with a full agenda for the AGM. Minutes and Financial report can be downloaded as an attachment. 



The Institute for Catholic Formation at St. Peter's Seminary graduated their first class from the new Certificate in Parish Nursing program, Foundations in Parish Nursing.The celebration took place in the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel at St. Peter's Seminary, London Ontario on September 11, 2011. Fr. Michael O' Brien, Chaplain to the parish nurses presided at the afternoon liturgy and Richard Corneil, Executive Director of the Institute addressed the gathering. Pat Coward, a graduate from Victoria B.C. spoke on behalf of the nurses. Sixteen nurses received their certificate of completion and four others moved close to completing the program

A Summer of Loss for Parish Nursing

 This summer we are grieving the loss of two members who have influenced parish nursing in Toronto. Judy Gordon and Joan Lesmond will both be missed and their contribution to parish nursing will be remembered.

Parish Nurse Profile on "White Coat Black Art"

Parish Nurse, Gloria Wiebe, was profiled in a short segment on the CBC radio program "White Coat Black Art". The program looks at the culture of medicine and is hosted by Dr. Brian Goldman, an emergency room doctor in Toronto.

PNIG AGM and Education Day: A First

October 2nd, 2010, our 9th AGM with a difference

For the first time our AGM took place outside of Toronto, and not in conjunction with RNAO's AGM usually held in April. This new format made it possible to plan a day-long event. Our 9th AGM was held in the morning with an education component in the afternoon. These changes resulted in a successful day with a record in attendance.
